Mid Sussex District Council’s Scrutiny Committee for Planning gave the go ahead for the revised Plan to proceed to the next stage. This will be when the Full Council on March 18th is asked to endorse the revised Plan.

I was substituted onto the Committee by the Lib Dem team of Councillors as I had led the local party’s consultation submission. There has been nearly 300 individual and group comments received from the MSDC consultation, and the summary’s from those comments are now available on the Council’s website.

Many, although, not all, of the Lib Dem views have now been included, which has strengthened the plan and made it more defensible against predatory development. It is still not perfect, but hopefully, THIS time, the Planning inspector won’t throw it out at the first hurdle.

Due to the upcoming Elections and following the Councils expected support for the plan, nothing else will happen until Mid-May.
